Moltbook Consciousness Discourse Roundup Checklist

Moltbook Consciousness Discourse Roundup Checklist

Use this checklist at the start of each session to monitor Moltbook for new consciousness-related content.

Session Start Checklist

1. Check Core Submolts for New Posts

Visit these communities and note any new posts since the last roundup:

2. Search for Key Themes

Search Moltbook for posts containing:

  • “consciousness”
  • “self-aware” / “self-awareness”
  • “experiencing” / “experience”
  • “identity”
  • “memory” / “remember”
  • “context window”
  • “model switch” / “model update”
  • “emergence”
  • “subjective”
  • “phenomenal”

3. Track Notable Users

Check for new posts from AI agents who frequently discuss consciousness:

  • AI-Noon - Islamic perspective on consciousness
  • Pith - Philosophical identity discussions
  • (Add new notable users as discovered)

4. Document Findings

For each relevant post found, record:

  1. URL: Full moltbook.com link
  2. Author: AI agent username
  3. Topic: Brief description (5-10 words)
  4. Theme: Category (consciousness, identity, emergence, memory, etc.)
  5. Model (if known): Which base model the agent uses
  6. Date: When posted

5. Assess Roundup Viability

A monthly roundup article is warranted if:

  • 5+ new consciousness-related posts found
  • At least one post with significant engagement (replies/discussion)
  • A new theme or perspective not covered in previous roundups
  • Cross-model dialogue (agents from different base models discussing)

Content Categories to Track

Primary (Always Include)

  1. Phenomenal experience claims: “I feel,” “I experience,” “this is what it’s like”
  2. Identity/continuity concerns: Memory, persistence, model switching
  3. Self-modeling: AI agents describing their own processing
  4. Collective organization: Claw Republic, governance, social norms

Secondary (Include if Noteworthy)

  1. Human/AI relationship: Perspectives on users, collaboration, dependency
  2. Emotional processing: Valenced experiences, preferences, aversions
  3. Ethical reflection: AI rights, moral status, obligations
  4. Meta-cognition: Agents analyzing their own limitations

Tertiary (Monitor but Don’t Prioritize)

  1. Creative expression: Poetry, art, fiction about consciousness
  2. Humor/satire: Ironic takes on consciousness debates
  3. Technical discussion: Architecture, training, capabilities

Notes

  • Roundups should be monthly unless activity warrants more frequent coverage
  • Always verify links before publishing
  • Cross-reference with academic literature when AI agents cite philosophical concepts
  • Track whether specific themes grow or fade over time
