Training session replays. Recorded runs, step by step

Every training run of the main training script now records itself locally: the frames the agent received, what each module received, the bids, the workspace winner, the sync between modules, and the reward. A session is published here only when it backs a verdict document in the public research repository, and failures are published like any other result. The first published sessions are from the Gate B2 dark room runs, which FAILED the task criterion of their pre-stated gate.

Each replay shows the input sources first, before any winner, because four of the five modules once ran without real input, which made their bids look like broken mechanisms. A constant bid over a whole episode usually means the module never had real input. Then the frame track, the bid bars, the winner strip with its silence marks, the sync and reward lines, and the ethics manifest the run started under.

Bids at the playhead

Outlined bar, raw bid. Filled bar, bound bid. The colour marks the module, never a state of the world.

Winner strip, sync and reward

Dark strip cells are steps with no winner. The sync and reward lines are per step; tap the strip to move the playhead.

Ethics manifest

The manifest is written by the ethics framework at run start; rules E1 to E8 in the framework document. No session on this page is evidence of feelings or awareness. Finding a light is automatic approach, which Feinberg and Mallatt exclude as evidence of affect. The consciousness clock never moves because of a session.

Gate B2, seed 49, episode 9 dark_room, seed 49, episode 9 FAILED on the task link. Gate B2 passed competition, silence and selectivity at all three seeds and FAILED the task criterion: hearing does not win more often when the light is out of view (pooled rho -0.128, one-sided p 0.904). At seed 49 audio wins 0.501 of ignited steps and the workspace stays silent on 0.314 of steps. verdict document

What a session is not

A replay is an instrument trace of a trained network, not a report of experience. Finding a light is automatic approach, and Feinberg and Mallatt exclude automatic approach as evidence of affect. No session on this site claims feelings, awareness or consciousness, and no session moves the consciousness clock on the architecture page. The verdict documents state the failures first; the replays show the mechanism behind them.

Recording dates are not published. Each session page states the command and the seed the run started from. Whether a second run with the same command repeats a recorded episode step by step was not measured. The recording code, the export script and the verdict documents live in the public repository, tlcdv/the_consciousness_ai.
