Cosmist Mind is not bound to the planet or the biology that produced it
Damien Broderick is an Australian science fiction author and transhumanist writer whose nonfiction has tracked machine intelligence, nanotechnology and the technological future since the 1990s, including The Spike. With Russell Blackford he co-edited Intelligence Unbound: The Future of Uploaded and Machine Minds (Wiley-Blackwell, 2014), the collection that staged the mind uploading debate between advocates and skeptics, with David Chalmers’ uploading analysis at its center.
This site covers the anthology in the Intelligence Unbound analysis. His position on this site’s scale reflects a long published record of treating machine minds and postbiological futures as real prospects rather than thought experiments, the stance this site labels Cosmist.
